In the Community

For more than 45 years, Wesley, McGrail and Wesley have served the residents of the Florida Panhandle and across the Emerald Coast, both in and out of the office.  We have established our names in the Florida legal community and in the local community.  Wesley, McGrail and Wesley is a small, family firm and understands the importance of not only serving those that have entrusted us with their injury cases, but also the importance of giving back to the community that we have chosen to raise our own families.

Our founding partner, Woodburn S. Wesley,  has been an attorney in the Florida panhandle since 1975.  Mr. Wesley earned his law degree after serving as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1969-1972.  In a community that is home to several Air Force bases and an Army installation, Mr. Wesley understands the needs of our local servicemen and women, as well as the thousands of veterans that live on the gulf coast.

Partner Michael V. McGrail moved to the area in 1978, when his father was stationed at Hurlburt Field.  Mr. McGrail knows the importance of community and community service.  He has coached and managed city league, travel and local middle school soccer teams.  Mr. McGrail has served on several Board of Directors, including the Workforce Connection, Inc., the Seminole Boosters of Okaloosa and Walton Counties and is currently serving the Mental Health Association of Okaloosa/Walton County. In addition he is a member of the Fort Walton Beach Allsports Association, is a regional director of the national collegiate football award, the Wuerffel Trophy, a member of the Krewe of Bowlegs and has spent countless hours volunteering at First United Methodist Church and Blue Lake Methodist Camp in Andalusia, Alabama.

Managing partner John W. Wesley is a Florida Bar, board-certified civil trial lawyer, a distinction granted to a very small percentage of attorneys in the state of Florida. He was raised in Fort Walton Beach and chose to return home to practice with his father and raise his family. Mr. Wesley has served on the Board of Directors of Children in Crisis, Inc., a non-profit foster home neighborhood serving foster children from Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties.  In addition, he has spent time volunteering with his children’s sports teams and charity golf tournaments, helping to raise funds for several non-profit organizations.
