Student killed in car accident in Florida

Police are still unclear as to who was at fault in a two-car crash that claimed the life of a high school student on the afternoon of Jan. 24, according to local sources. Florida law enforcement officers are still investigating the car accident, which sent a further two teens to a local hospital. Highway Patrol estimates the accident took place at approximately 12:15 on U.S. Highway 29. 

7 injured in car accident involving ambulance in Florida

Seven people were hurt in a five-vehicle pileup that shut down portions of U.S. 41 on the evening of Jan. 15, according to news reports. Florida authorities believe that an ambulance driver may have been responsible for the car accident that came perilously close to claiming lives. While no charges have been filed at this time, sources have reported that the driver will likely be cited. 

3 people dead, others injured following Florida car accident

Local authorities are still in the process of investigating whether alcohol and/or unsafe speed played a role in a horrific crash on U.S. 90 on New Year's Day. The brutal car accident claimed the lives of three people, including two teenagers, and sent a half dozen more (including five children) to local Florida hospitals. So far, no criminal charges have been filed in connection with this tragic case. 

Florida highway trooper faces charges in car accident

A highway patrolman is facing criminal charges after rear-ending an SUV, according to local news. Florida Highway Patrol has reported that the trooper was not responding to an emergency call at the time of the car accident that injured two other individuals. They have not elaborated on what charges the trooper might be facing. 

3-car accident kills 2 in Florida

Two people are dead and several more are recovering in hospitals following a serious crash on the night of Nov. 19, according to local law enforcement. Florida police and emergency crews responded to the three-car accident just after 8:30 p.m. Police say charges in the case are pending, but none have been officially announced as of this report. 

Fatal car accident in Florida kills 2

A wrong-way crash in Alligator Alley has claimed two lives, local news sources have reported. Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that two people lost their lives on the morning of November 7. Details are still sketchy, but police are continuing to investigate the cause of the car accident

Kindergarten teacher killed in Florida car accident

A beloved kindergarten teacher tragically lost her life at the hands of a man believed to be guilty of reckless driving, according to local reports. Florida police had intended to charge the driver they believed to be responsible for the car accident that killed the 27-year-old elementary school teacher, but he was also killed. Psychologists have been dispatched to school grounds to help students cope with the loss. 

2-car accident in Florida injures both drivers

Traffic was blocked for several hours on the afternoon of October 10, following a crash involving two vehicles in Marion County, according to local sources.  Florida Highway Patrol responded along with Marion County fire officials around 3 p.m.  The car accident involved a DHL delivery truck and another vehicle, and both drivers were injured. 

Florida State Trooper injured in car accident

A state trooper was injured and another woman is in critical care following a serious accident on Interstate 95 on the morning of Sept. 24, according to local sources.  Florida authorities are still determining the cause of the car accident, but have confirmed that charges are pending.  A total of four vehicles were involved in the incident.
