No one really wants to be in an accident. Unfortunately, hundreds of car accidents happen every day across the state of Florida. Most of them are fender benders and nothing more than minor inconveniences. But the potential for a serious or deadly crash is always present.
Details of a deadly accident
Recently in Englewood, an accident killed two people and injured three others. The accident happened during the evening hours on Indiana Avenue at the intersection with Artists Avenue. According to reports, an SUV was stopped at the stop sign on Artists Avenue as another SUV was heading south on Indiana Avenue.
Apparently, the stopped SUV pulled into the path of the southbound SUV, causing the collision. Reports said the SUV coming from Artists Avenue overturned, killing the driver and a passenger while injuring another passenger. The driver of the southbound SUV suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, authorities said. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
Where can victims and families go for help?
The actions of other drivers are often unpredictable, so there is little way of knowing when an accident will happen. Any time a person in Florida is injured or killed in a car accident caused by the negligence of another party, victims and, in the case of a fatality, families have the right to pursue legal recourse. By speaking with an attorney and filing a lawsuit, those affected could obtain rightful and much-needed compensation to help with monetary losses that may have occurred due to a serious accident.
