Many people in Florida take driving for granted. Safely operating a motor vehicle requires constant focus and attention from the driver. Many experienced drivers feel that their many years of driving give them an advantage. However, multiple years of driving experience do not make a driver immune to car accidents. Just one minor lapse of focus is enough to cause a serious or fatal crash.
Recently in Miami, a three-vehicle accident killed one person and injured three others. The crash happened just after midnight in the area of 92nd Avenue and Southwest Eighth Street. According to reports, a minor fender bender between two vehicles morphed into a fatal crash when a third vehicle plowed into the rear of the two vehicles.
Reportedly, pedestrians were also hit by the third vehicle. Authorities said one person died at the scene of the accident. They noted that three other people were injured and one of them was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The accident is still being investigated by police.
Where can victims and families get help?
These days, drivers must contend with a lot of distractions. Distracted driving or failure to pay attention while driving can result in an accident with life-altering ramifications. Anyone in Florida who has been injured or suffered the loss of a loved one due to a negligent driver has the right to speak with an attorney and seek rightful compensation. Damages from a successfully litigated lawsuit could help victims and families recover financially from a devastating accident.
